Sending light & loving healing vibes to you all over this challenging and uncertain time. With a few small changes or additions you can really help maintain calm or shift into a more peaceful state. Ultimately you want to remain physically and mentally as healthy as possible . We can rescue our mind by not feeding the fear but harnessing our inner strength .
- Reducing online time
- Connecting with nature where possible~ grounding. Standing or walking barefoot on the grass helps increase negative ions which has a positive effect within the body neutralising free radicals and improving muscular pain, sleep disturbances and inflammation in the body.
- Getting outside for your daily exercise if possible and absorbing sun rays to keep vitamin D levels stable.
- Ending your bathing ritual with a cold water shower for at least a minute (not for those with heart complications) is a great immune booster, refreshing for the day ahead. Whilst also tightening and smoothing the skin, encouraging lymph flow which assists in better elimination and so clearing pathogens.
- Pineapple juice containing bromelain has been found to reduce coughing and also improve digestion.
- Inhalations over a steaming bowl of water with a 3 drops of eucalyptus rosemary or frankincense to help clear the sinuses, fight bacteria and soothe a sore throat or cough.
- Scrubbing & then massaging the feet before bed with an essential oil blend or with vapour rub / olbas oil and a base cream or oil working into the pad of the sole particularly which corresponds to the lung area in reflexology. Then put socks on. This will also improve your sleep and give you the softest feet!
- Daily meditation will greatly improve your mental health. Finding stillness and space from exterior stress allows us to approach life with more calm and less reactivity. Find a quiet area where you won’t be disturbed.
- Eat a rainbow! Lots of fruit and veggies in varying colours to support overall health. Taking time to really appreciate the nourishment it provides being seated and mindful.
- Take additional vitamin C and Zinc for immune health.
- Having a routine or structure to your day is so important to prevent lethargy, fogginess and will boost your mood. You’ll actually find you have more time for relaxation and freedom if you make a plan of course with some flexibility. The one thing that remains constant is change. Nothing stays the same. So try and find peaceful living by living in the present without attachment.
- Mindfulness. Gratitude. Lightness of Heart. Moments of humour and union. Reach out for support. We are in this together and there is great potential for personal and collective growth.
