Caitlin Perrett

Caitlin Perrett, M. Ost, has over 7 years’ experience as an osteopath. The combination of her osteopathy background, post graduate women’s health training, and being a clinical pilates teacher, gives her a unique analytical approach to the women’s health problems she sees. The osteopathic philosophy of aiming to get the whole body to function smoothly together, plays a key part in how Caitlin treats her patients with conditions involving pelvic, low back, and hip pain, as well as problems such as vaginismus, vulvodynia, organ (pelvic and abdominal) restriction, adhesions and prolapses, bladder and bowel incontinence, overactive bladder, scar tissue adhesions following surgery and tears. She also enjoys treating pregnancy related pain.

Caitlin has completed post graduate courses in advanced pelvic floor function with the world-renowned Holly Herman and Dr Ruth Jones. This qualifies her to treat prolapse, stress incontinence, advanced pelvic, urogenital and anorectal pain.

She is a certified Pilates instructor through the APPI, which gives her a broad knowledge and experience of rehabilitating pelvic floor weakness or over contracture as well as diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation). Caitlin is experienced in visceral osteopathy - the gentle treatment of the abdominal and pelvic organs, where adhesions can limit their movement and therefore their ability to function.

Being a competitive rower, and having always been sporty, Caitlin understands the frustrations that comes with injury and dysfunction, and excels with women who want to be active again. Her hands-on skills and rehabilitation knowledge makes her an excellent practitioner to progress through a plan with - from dysfunction to getting active and confident again.
