Freya Davies

After completing her Physiotherapy Degree at King’s College London, Freya went on to start her NHS career as a rotational physiotherapist in Plymouth. She then spent 6 months in Munich, Germany, working in a private MSK clinic as well as developing her German language skills, before moving back to London where she continued her NHS rotations. As well as working in a range of acute inpatient settings, including respiratory, stroke, renal and care of the elderly, Freya completed specialist rotations in Women’s Health; seeing patients with pregnancy related pain, postnatal women at risk of pelvic floor dysfunction and post gynae-oncology surgery patients, and MSK; with a focus on complex pain and trauma related injuries. This sparked the beginning of her passion for Women’s Health and MSK and continues to work at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust as a Specialist Physiotherapist alongside her role at The White Hart Clinic. She now treats a range of MSK and Women’s Health conditions, including post-operative recovery, sporting and degenerative injuries, pregnancy related pain and incontinence. Freya uses a variety of treatment techniques, including exercise prescription, manual therapy and advice and education, and draws on her clinical experience, as well as best practice guidelines and evidence to ensure each treatment session is tailored to the individual. She is passionate about holistic management with the appreciation that everybody approaches recovery differently, to ensure all of her patients reach their unique aims. Freya’s favourite part of the job is getting to work with such a wide range of people and seeing their improvement and progress.

Freya also has a background in fitness and exercise, working for several years as a gym instructor and lifeguard, as well participating in and coaching competitive fencing. Alongside this, she completed qualifications in sports and remedial massage, taping and strapping, and teaching and education which allowed her to work privately as a massage therapist, and also teach courses whilst at university. When she’s not working, Freya loves the outdoors and enjoys camping and hiking, as well as creating elaborate cakes!
