Jane Attard

Jane is a highly motivated, musculoskeletal Physiotherapist & Pilates Instructor with 20 years of clinical experience in the NHS, sports settings locally and abroad, in private practice and in patient’s homes.

Having grown up in Malta, she first studied for a diploma in massage, followed by an Honours degree in Physiotherapy. Jane subsequently worked there as a Physiotherapist for a number of years, where she was heavily involved with a wide range of athletes across different sports under the Malta Olympic Committee, both at home and abroad.

Jane later moved to the UK and completed her M.Sc. in Advanced Neuromuscular Physiotherapy. She has been committed to further advanced Physiotherapy post-graduate training throughout her career.

Jane has a special interest in lower-limb biomechanics, the hip and shoulder girdles, hyper-mobility connective tissue disorders & peri-natal care however, is experienced treating any area of the body. She also practices as a Pilates instructor & Hydro Therapist. Jane, takes pride in providing tailored advice and evidence-based treatment programmes to help you recover from pain or injury.

Jane has had extensive experience with working remotely on expert physiotherapy panels for telephone triage and webcam online e-treating services, alongside her hands-on role, making a significant difference to patients’ in a very new and different set-up.

In her spare time, Jane enjoys a wide range of sports and outdoor activities including wild swimming, diving, sailing, paddle boarding, boxing, tennis, horse riding, hiking/camping, roller blading & Pilates. She also enjoys healthy cooking / entertaining, reading, listening to and playing music. She is particularly passionate about the outdoors, and very active in supporting the environment through an eco-conscious lifestyle and do regular beach / river clean-ups.

Jane has been very lucky to have had four overseas voluntary-work experiences in remote rural communities across the world, living and working with locals to support them - in her physio role, as well as, working on water & sanitation, and animal conservation projects.
