Lydia Romaine
Lydia is a qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. She appreciates that each one of her clients will have differing needs. As such, she seeks to work alongside you to fully understand what has brought you to therapy and to collaboratively identify ways in which personal growth and change can be facilitated.
Lydia’s relational approach draws upon person-centred and psychodynamic modalities. She helps to create opportunities to develop a shared understanding of you within your wider social context. She supports to explore how this, combined with experiences of the past and present, may impact your current ways of being.
Lydia’s practice is underpinned by the belief that the therapeutic relationship is integral in supporting an effective therapeutic process. She offers a safe, non-judgemental and empathetic space to support you to feel at ease in being able to speak freely and at a pace which feels comfortable for you.
Lydia has worked in a variety of contexts including private mental health services, charitable organisations and educational settings. Lydia can support you to navigate issues relating to grief and bereavement, anxiety, depression and low mood, suicidal ideation, trauma, identity, relationships, self-harm and eating disorders.
Lydia is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adheres to their code of ethics.
