My journey into massage therapy began back in 2004, during a difficult time when I was struggling with severe migraines and searching for relief. A friend, who was training in sports and remedial massage, invited me to try a session. I was amazed by the results - while it wasn’t a cure, the treatment helped me deeply relax, tapping into my parasympathetic nervous system and releasing feel-good hormones like oxytocin. My pain became easier to manage, and the experience inspired me to learn more about this incredible form of therapy. That moment truly marked the turning point in my career.

I started with a basic Swedish Holistic Massage qualification, but I soon realised I wanted to expand my medical understanding to help a wider range of people. This led me to train in Sports and Remedial Massage - and I’ve never stopped learning since! My massage business began in 2008, and over 20 years later, I still find every day to be a learning experience.

Over the years, I’ve treated an extraordinary variety of clients - from young children enjoying a gentle birthday treat, to elite athletes and bodybuilders needing deep sports massage, to desk-based workers and elderly clients seeking improved mobility and comfort. Many of my patients come to me for pain management related to chronic conditions like migraines or hypermobility, while others are recovering from injuries or surgery.

As a qualified Scar Therapist, I also work with post-surgical clients - from hip and knee replacements to abdominal, breast, or C-section scars - helping to reduce adhesions, restore movement, and rebuild confidence. Alongside this, I provide treatments for both primary and secondary lymphoedema, complementing my scar therapy work beautifully.

A particularly special part of my career has been offering gentle massage and Reiki to cancer patients as part of their healing journey. Supporting clients through such challenging times has been incredibly meaningful and rewarding. My background in education also led me to teach Baby Massage, which I absolutely loved and plan to restart soon. Additionally, I’m a qualified Personal Trainer, specialising in neuro-rehabilitation for individuals recovering from stroke or living with MS or Parkinson’s disease.

Over the years, I’ve earned more than 40 qualifications across massage and rehabilitation disciplines - yet I still approach every client and every treatment as an opportunity to learn and grow. Seeing someone walk out taller, freer, and smiling after arriving in pain is what makes my work so fulfilling.

I truly love what I do - helping people heal, move better, and feel more at ease in their bodies. And yes, even my cat enjoys a little Reiki on my days off! If you’re recovering from injury, surgery, or simply need support managing pain or tension, I’d love to help. Please feel free to get in touch with the clinic - I look forward to meeting you soon.
