Katherine Passerieu is a bilingual counsellor, offering counselling in both English and French, and accredited member of the BACP. She works with clients of all ages and particularly adolescents and children - helping them navigate emotional challenges and build coping skills. She has training with Place2Be, supporting children and young people in UK schools. Her approach is warm and compassionate, grounded in Carl Rogers’ principles of empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard.
Katherine is a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, combining a person-centred approach, where the client’s needs are at the heart of the process, with a psychodynamic approach, exploring the past to understand present challenges. She is particularly passionate about attachment theory, which helps clients understand how early experiences shape relationships and opens the door to building more secure and fulfilling connections in the present.
She has additional training in CBT and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), a gentle yet powerful method using light tapping on specific points to release stored emotions, reduce anxiety, and promote calm and clarity. Katherine provides a confidential, safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore challenges at their own pace and begin to reconnect with their inner strength without fear of judgment. Her approach helps clients release pain and tension and regain a sense of calm and self-worth.
Katherine holds a BA in English and an MA in Sociology with Social Psychology from the Sorbonne University in Paris, as well as a UK Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (CPCAB). Before qualifying as a therapist, she had a successful international career in market research and communications, developing expertise in psychological interviewing and analysis. She continues to combine her counselling work with qualitative healthcare research, giving her a unique perspective and deep understanding of people’s experiences.
Katherine holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
