Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapist and Speacialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist including Pessary Services
Tracey qualified as a Physiotherapist from Brunel University in 2008, following a 5-year career as a professional rower, representing Great Britain in U23s and winning a Gold medal for England at the Commonwealth Games. She also achieved a Silver medal in the England’s Strongest Woman competition. Tracey’s passion for sporting excellence has also been a focus for her career, which has seen her working with elite athletes including professional rugby players, rowers, cyclists, sprinters, footballers, crossfit athletes and Olympic weight lifters.
Tracey is experienced in working closely with orthopeadic consultants and rehabilitating post-operative knees, hips and shoulders alongside a broad-range of sporting injuries including: tendinopathies achilles, patella, shoulder impingements, tennis/golfers elbow, ACL rehabilitation, generalised knee pain, muscle strains, ligament strains, post surgery rehabilitation, total knee and hip replacements, meniscus injury both conservative and post surgery management, lower back pain, neck pain, work related injuries including repetitive strain injury and arthritic pain management. Tracey is trained in shockwave treatment.
Tracey is also a specialist Women's Health Physiotherapist. She is passionate about Women’s Health and helping women to navigate the often-challenging transition back to an active lifestyle and the sports they love following childbirth. She is particularly skilled in connecting a sporting injury with an historic childbirth or pregnancy injury. Tracey carries out functional pelvic floor assessments and treats a range of women’s health conditions including: ante-natal and post natal MOT check ups for pelvic floor function and dysfunction, treatment of abdominal wall separation and diastasis rectus abdominis following childbirth, labour preparation, pelvic floor rehabilitation, urinary and faecal incontinence, pelvic pain including vaginismus/bladder pain syndrome, recovery following gynaecological surgery, pelvic organ prolapse including trial fittings of pessaries, sacroiliac joint pain and lower back pain. She also has clinical expertise in treating pelvic & bladder pain.
Whether it’s treating an injury or returning to fitness from post partum, Tracey’s passion is in developing programmes to help people return to fitness and the sports they love, whether that’s running, rowing, rugby, crossfit or just every day activities.
