What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a versatile treatment aimed at improving your movement in order to promote health and well-being. Physiotherapists use a range of manual therapy and soft tissue techniques such as massage, mobilisation, stretching and progressive loading, to reduce pain and restore movement to muscles and joints that are not functioning correctly.

Pain is often the thing that motivates people to seek our help, but it can be due to other things like mobility and movement confidence, sports-related injuries, headaches or neck pain, and rehab or support with recovery from surgery or systemic illness. Physiotherapists understand the interconnectedness between the various parts of your physiology, and will work with you to treat the root of the problem, not just the symptom.

If it is difficult for you to come to us, we can come to you! We are happy to arrange a home visit if pain or mobility do not allow you to come to us. Health Insurance

The clinic has contracts for our physiotherapy treatments with BUPA and AXA Health and will claim on your behalf once you let us have your membership and authorisation numbers, which are needed prior to treatment (we are not able to claim for pessary fittings). Our clinic provider numbers are 80009448 (BUPA) and ZZ01839 (AXA Health) and all of our physiotherapists are automatically covered under our contract number. Whilst we are recognised by all other major insurance companies, you will be expected to pay at the time of treatment and we shall issue receipts in order for you to claim.
