Ruth brings over 20 years of experience as an osteopath. She graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1999 and has since built a career that combines both clinical practice and teaching. Over the years, she has worked in general practice as well as in academic settings, serving as a clinic tutor and lecturer in Australia and in London at the College of Osteopathy, where she contributed to the paediatrics programme. In addition, she has completed specialist training in breastfeeding support and is registered with the Infant Feeding Academy. Currently, Ruth is a clinic tutor on the postgraduate degree in Paediatric Osteopathy at the University College of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly BSO).
While Ruth treats patients of all ages, she has developed a particular expertise in caring for expectant mothers, new mothers, babies, and children. Her commitment to paediatric care began immediately after graduation, when she volunteered at The Osteopathic Centre for Children in London — a charity that provides vital osteopathic treatment to hundreds of children each week.
In 2009, Ruth went on to complete a two-year Master’s degree in Paediatric Osteopathy at the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy, the charitable arm of the Osteopathic Centre for Children. This foundation, recognised as a global centre of excellence, not only provides thousands of treatments for children each year but also leads the way in advancing education and clinical standards in paediatric osteopathy.
