Expert Diabetic Foot Problems Treatment At The White Hart Clinic

In the UK, approximately 5.8 million people are living with diabetes. This chronic condition has a profound impact on foot health, as untreated high blood sugar levels can damage the small blood vessels and nerves that supply the feet. Consequently, many individuals with diabetes may experience numbness, which can hinder their ability to detect issues like sores, blisters, infected wounds, corns and calluses. To prevent serious complications and maintain optimal foot health, regular foot care and vigilant monitoring are essential for people with diabetes.

Common diabetic foot conditions we can help with:

  • Diabetic Foot Ulcers: Deep sores or infections resulting from minor cuts, scrapes or blisters that heal slowly, often managed with wound care, debridement, and infection control
  • Neuropathy (Nerve Damage): Numbness, tingling, burning or loss of sensation in the feet
  • Peripheral Artery Disease (Poor Circulation): Reduced blood flow, leading to cold feet, calf cramps and slow-healing infections
  • Charcot Arthropathy: A rare, severe condition causing swelling, joint damage, and deformity
  • Infections: Bacterial or fungal infections, including athlete’s foot and infected ingrown toenails
  • Skin and Nail Issues: Calluses, thick/brittle nails and dry, cracked skin, which are more susceptible to infection and pressure issues

How our Podiatrist/ Chiropodist can help:

  • Comprehensive diabetic foot assessments, including vascular and neurological screening
  • Routine monitoring of circulation and sensation to identify early signs of diabetic complications
  • Safe reduction of calluses and corns to relieve pressure and help prevent ulcer formation
  • Specialist nail care, including management of thickened, fungal or ingrown toenails
  • Assessment and management of diabetic foot ulcers, including wound care and pressure relief
  • Offloading techniques to reduce pressure on high-risk areas and support healing
  • Early identification and management of infection to prevent complications
  • Footwear assessment and advice to reduce friction, pressure and risk of injury
  • Diabetic foot care education, including daily foot checks and when to seek treatment

I had an appointment with Levi regarding a foot problem and I was so impressed with his knowledge and attentive detail, providing a much more holistic service than you would expect to receive.

As a former sports professional, I've experienced many massage therapists in my time, but I've extensively seen Katherine Ranson over the years and stands out above them all. Her expertise, precision and understanding of the human body are exceptional. Massage is far more than just qualifications and her skills truly sets her apart from the rest. If I had to name a GOAT (Greatest of All time) in this field, it would be her.

Grace gave me a good analysis of my shoulder blade muscle pain followed by a very useful set of exercises. These have worked well and are now part of my routine.

My thanks to Cheli for her excellent massage therapy which is easing a persistent foot & leg injury. She has experience of working with injured dancers (I am not one!) and brings that knowledge to help me. A lovely, kind and thoughtful person - with a holistic approach.

Cheli is brilliant. I have a bulging disc in my neck (C7) which causes numbness in my arms if the stress builds up. A few sessions with Cheli and I’m back to normal. Highly recommended

Grace has been excellent in analysing and treating the pain in the outside of my knee. After the first session there was a vast improvement through the exercises she gave me but this then stayed at a lesser but constant level. Grace was clear in her original diagnosis and added on some more specific exercises/ weights that I can incorporate in my normal session. The pain has now almost gone after 6 sessions over a few months.

I have a superb series of treatments from Grace at the White Hart Clinic. I'd had a long term issue with bicep tendons, and after working with Grace this has completely gone. I would highly recommend this physiotherapist to any current or former athletes in need of support.
