Stop Shouldering the Pain
Expert Shoulder Pain Treatment At The White Hart Clinic
Shoulder pain can include discomfort, weakness or limited movement around the shoulder joint and nearby muscles or tendons. This can cause difficulty with activities like reaching, lifting or sport. Shoulder pain is often caused by overuse, altered biomechanics, repetitive motions or age-related wear and tear.
Common shoulder conditions we treat:
- Rotator Cuff Pathologies: The most common cause of shoulder pain, including rotator cuff tears, rotator cuff tendinopathy (tendinitis/tendinosis) and subacromial bursitis
- Shoulder Impingement Syndrome: Compression of rotator cuff tendons, causing pain, especially during overhead movements
- Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis): Progressive stiffness and reduced range of motion, when the shoulder capsule thickens and tightens
- Instability and Dislocations: The shoulder joint moving excessively or fully dislocating due to ligamentous injury or structural weakness
- Labral Tears (Cartilage Tears): Damage to the labrum, (the socket lining, made from cartilage) often causing instability, pain, weakness and clicking
- Arthritis: Degeneration of cartilage, including at the glenohumeral and acromioclavicular joints
