Expert Pelvic Organ Prolapse Treatment At The White Hart Clinic
Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when one or more of the pelvic organs (such as the bladder, uterus or bowel) descend due to reduced support from the pelvic floor muscles and connective tissues.
This can create a sensation of pressure or heaviness within the vagina. Prolapse is common, particularly following pregnancy and childbirth or around menopause.
While common, prolapse symptoms can often be improved with appropriate pelvic health support.
Symptoms may worsen toward the end of the day or after prolonged activity.
