Support for Every Stage

Expert Pregnancy-Related Issues Treatment At The White Hart Clinic

Pregnancy-related pelvic health issues refer to soft tissue changes and pelvic floor symptoms that develop as the body adapts to pregnancy.

As the uterus grows and hormonal changes occur, increased load is placed through the pelvis, abdominal wall and pelvic floor. These changes can affect joint stability, muscle coordination and pressure management.

While many symptoms are common during pregnancy, they are not simply something you have to live with. Specialist pelvic health physiotherapy can help manage discomfort and support optimal function.

Common symptoms we treat:

  • Pain at the pubic bone or sacroiliac joints
  • Pain when turning in bed, walking or climbing stairs

  • Clicking or a feeling of instability in the pelvis

  • Lower back pain, particularly when walking or standing for longer periods

  • Separation of the abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), which may cause the tummy to bulge or dome during movement

  • Urinary leakage or a feeling of heaviness or pressure in the vagina

  • Sciatica

How our Women’s Health Physiotherapists can help:

  • Provide a comprehensive assessment tailored to your stage of pregnancy
  • Create personalised exercise programmes to strengthen weak muscles or relax overactive ones
  • Improve bladder control and manage urgency or incontinence
  • Offer hands-on treatment techniques to relieve pain or tension and improve movement
  • Give guidance on posture, lifting and activity modifications

I had an appointment with Levi regarding a foot problem and I was so impressed with his knowledge and attentive detail, providing a much more holistic service than you would expect to receive.

As a former sports professional, I've experienced many massage therapists in my time, but I've extensively seen Katherine Ranson over the years and stands out above them all. Her expertise, precision and understanding of the human body are exceptional. Massage is far more than just qualifications and her skills truly sets her apart from the rest. If I had to name a GOAT (Greatest of All time) in this field, it would be her.

Grace gave me a good analysis of my shoulder blade muscle pain followed by a very useful set of exercises. These have worked well and are now part of my routine.

My thanks to Cheli for her excellent massage therapy which is easing a persistent foot & leg injury. She has experience of working with injured dancers (I am not one!) and brings that knowledge to help me. A lovely, kind and thoughtful person - with a holistic approach.

Cheli is brilliant. I have a bulging disc in my neck (C7) which causes numbness in my arms if the stress builds up. A few sessions with Cheli and I’m back to normal. Highly recommended

Grace has been excellent in analysing and treating the pain in the outside of my knee. After the first session there was a vast improvement through the exercises she gave me but this then stayed at a lesser but constant level. Grace was clear in her original diagnosis and added on some more specific exercises/ weights that I can incorporate in my normal session. The pain has now almost gone after 6 sessions over a few months.

Grace Newport-Tucker was excellent throughout my physio treatment for my calf injury. She got me on an excellent recovery programme, which was thoughtfully customised to my needs, and provided very helpful knowledge throughout. I highly recommend her as a sports physio!

I have a superb series of treatments from Grace at the White Hart Clinic. I'd had a long term issue with bicep tendons, and after working with Grace this has completely gone. I would highly recommend this physiotherapist to any current or former athletes in need of support.
