Expert MSK/ Sports Physiotherapy At The White Hart Clinic
MSK/ Sports physiotherapy helps with pain and injuries affecting the muscles, joints, bones, ligaments and tendons. MSK/Sports physiotherapists aim to reduce pain, improve movement and build strength through a range of treatments, including joint mobilisation, massage, stretching and progressive strengthening exercises.
We will assess the painful or restricted area, as well as looking at how you move overall and determine whether stiffness, weakness, a previous injury or other factors may be contributing to the problem, rather than focusing only on where it hurts.
What to expect:
- A detailed discussion about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle and goals
- A physical assessment to see how you move, where your movement is restricted, which movements bring on your symptoms and whether there is any loss of strength
- A clear explanation of what we have found, what may be contributing to the problem and how physiotherapy could help
- Treatment during your first session, where appropriate and with your agreement. This may include manual therapy, exercises, taping or dry needling
- A treatment and rehabilitation plan based on your goals, with follow-up appointments where needed to review your progress and adapt the plan
Common reasons to see a physiotherapist:
- Back and neck pain
- Joint pain, including shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle
- Strains and sprains
- Sports injuries
- Postural issues and work‑related pain
- Pre and post surgery rehabilitation
- Chronic or recurring pain
- Gait and movement abnormalities
All physiotherapists at the White Hart Clinic are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
