Expert Tendinitis/ Tendinopathy Treatment At The White Hart Clinic
Tendon pain (tendinitis/ tendinopathy) is a common condition caused by irritation, overload or degeneration of a tendon. Tendons connect muscles to bones and play a key role in movement. When they become overloaded, they can become painful, stiff and less able to tolerate activity. Tendon pain often develops gradually and may worsen with movement or exercise.
Common tendon conditions we treat:
- Achilles Tendinopathy: Pain and stiffness in the back of the ankle, often worse in the morning or after activity
- Patellar Tendinopathy: Pain just below the kneecap, common in sports involving jumping or running
- Gluteal Tendinopathy: Pain on the outside of the hip, often worse when lying on the side or walking
- Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy: Shoulder pain related to irritation of the rotator cuff tendons
- Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis): Pain on the outside of the elbow from repetitive wrist or arm use
- Golfer’s Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis): Pain on the inside of the elbow
- Hamstring tendinopathy: Pain at the top of the thigh or behind the knee.
